Prescription Policies

Prescription Policy:

In compliance with federal laws, all pets must be examined within 12 months to have medications and RX food prescribed to a patient or refilled. Some medications may require the pet be examined every 6 months and undergo diagnostics testing.

For Refills on medications and/or food:

PRIOR to visiting the practice, please request your refill and wait for a confirmation that your pet’s medication/food is available for pickup. This allows the staff to review records, obtain doctor approval and fill the necessary medications/food needed.

This please allow 24 – 48 hours after your request is placed to receive a confirmation on pickup.

Please Note: Dispensed medications and preventatives can not be returned.

3rd Party Online Pharmacies

While we encourage our clients to purchase trusted products from our online pharmacy we understand you may want to purchase elsewhere. In order for a prescription to be approved, we do require a Waiver of Liability for an Outside Pharmacy be signed.

Prescriptions being requested from third party vendors will be accessed by a doctor prior to approval. Once approval is given by the doctor the client will have a choice of receiving an emailed prescription or picking up a physical copy at the practice. This prescription can then be submitted to the third party vendor.

Please Note: The authorization or declining of an outside prescription request may take up to 72 hours after the proper prescription is received by our staff.
